Why We Started the Birdies

Southern Belle Birdies Club was born out of a shared feeling: We Wanted More Women to Golf With

Between us, we’d been around the game for years—Amy grew up in a golf family, and Krista had been playing with her husband for years —but something was missing. There just weren’t many casual, consistent, or social opportunities for women to hit the course together. So we decided to create one.

What started as a simple weekly outing has grown into a vibrant community of women of all ages and skill levels who come together to play, connect, and enjoy the game without pressure. Whether you’re brand new to golf or you’ve been swinging for years, the Birdies is a space to show up as you are, get outside, and enjoy a no-strings-attached kind of league.

We’re proud of what it’s become—and we’d love to have you join us.

Meet the Team

Amy Oliver and Krista Ferrell are two Middle Tennessee professionals, community builders, and passionate golfers who co-founded Southern Belle Birdies. With backgrounds in real estate, healthcare, and supply chain, they created a space where women of all ages and skill levels can connect, play, and feel at home on the course.
