A community where women golfers can thrive, connect, and play with confidence.

Our Birdie Story…

Southern Belle Birdies was born from a simple desire to bring more women into the game of golf. Amy spent years watching her mom play weekly, while her husband never quite shared the same interest. Krista, on the other hand, found herself with only her husband to golf with and longed for a community of women to share the course with.

As busy moms juggling real estate careers and family life, they wanted to create a league that allowed women to commit week-to-week without the pressure of a long-term obligation. They wanted flexibility and fun – no strings attached, just golf. Their goal was to build something where women of all skill levels could feel empowered, encouraged, and supported.

They’ve already launched their clothing line, which celebrates the spirit of the Birdies, and it’s been a big hit with our community. This is just the beginning, and they can’t wait to continue offering stylish, comfortable apparel for their members.

While their main focus is building this incredible community, they also use their background in real estate to support the Birdies. Through partnerships with local vendors, they are able to financially sustain and grow the league, helping to ensure that every woman who joins has a space to play, connect, and have fun.

The best part? This is just the beginning. They’re planning exciting events, growing membership, and working to create even more ways to get involved. Southern Belle Birdies is a place where friendships are made, confidence is built, and women of all ages and skill levels come together to share their love for the game.

Who are Amy & Krista?

What began as a casual idea quickly grew into something much bigger than we expected. In just one year, our little league exploded into a thriving community of almost 400 women, all coming together to enjoy the game and the company of other like-minded women. We never imagined how much our passion for golf and creating a welcoming space for women would resonate.

  • I grew up in a golf family — my mom has been in a women’s golf league for as long as I can remember. After moving to Nashville, I quickly noticed the lack of opportunities for women to play casually, consistently, and socially. That’s what inspired me to help create Southern Belle Birdies: a no-strings-attached space where women can connect, feel empowered, and enjoy the many benefits of golf. From the physical activity and fresh air to the mental reset that comes from spending time outdoors, golf is more than just a game — it’s a lifestyle. As a real estate broker, I know how powerful local community can be — and our league is about just that: showing up as you are, building relationships, and having fun together on the course, one swing at a time.

  • When Amy first brought up the idea of starting a women’s golf group, I didn’t hesitate to say yes. I had been playing for about six years—usually with my husband—and while I loved our time on the course together, there were plenty of times I wished I had a group of girlfriends to golf with too. We realized if we were both looking for that kind of connection, there had to be other women feeling the same. That’s how the Southern Belle Birdies Club began—a fun, welcoming space where women of all skill levels can come together to play, laugh, and enjoy the game without pressure. It’s grown into something so much more than golf—it’s a community.
